Santiago Peña is a senior associate in the International Arbitration and Regulatory and Administrative Law departments.
His practice focuses on complex litigations and arbitrations. He has acted in several arbitrations under the main international rules (ICC, ICDR and UNCITRAL, among others) and participated as attorney and secretary of international tribunals.
He graduated with honors from Universidad de Buenos Aires. He has also completed a Diploma in Arbitration and a Masters’ Degree in Corporate Law in Universidad Austral, having achieved the gold medal for best graduate and the award to the best final thesis.
Santiago is Assistant Professor in Civil and Commercial Contracts in Universidad de Buenos Aires and Universidad Torcuato Di tella and Assistant Professor in Arbitration and Mediation at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. He is also coach of the international arbitration team of Universidad Austral and usually serves as reviewing arbitrator in international and regional moots.
He is member of the International Bar Association (IBA), member of the Latin American Arbitration Association (ALArb) and its Next Generation Group, Secretary of the Permanent Observatory on the state of arbitration in Latin America, created by ALArb, member of the ICDR Young & International Global Advisory Board, Young ICSID, Young ITA, Young ICCA and AYAP (Argentina Young Arbitration Practitioners) and Coordinator of the Young Committee of the Business Mediation and Arbitration Center (CEMA).
