Santiago L. Peña

Santiago Peña is a senior lawyer in the International Arbitration and Economic Regulation and Administrative Law departments.

His practice focuses on advising corporate clients in international arbitration and complex litigation, as well as in contractual matters.

He has participated in several international arbitrations under different rules (ICC, ICDR, UNCITRAL, etc.) and has acted as secretary in several international arbitrations under ICC rules.

He graduated as a lawyer from the Law School of the University of Buenos Aires with honors. He has completed a Diploma in Arbitration and a Master's Degree in Business Law at Universidad Austral, obtaining the gold medal for the best average of the promotion and the prize for the best thesis.

He is a regular professor of Civil and Commercial Contracts at the Law School of the Universidad de Buenos Aires and assistant professor of Contracts and Arbitration and Mediation at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella.

He is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA); member of ALArb and its Next Generation Group; Secretary of the Permanent Observatory on the State of Arbitration in Latin America; Co-Chair of Young ITA for South America; Board member of the Young Singapore International Arbitration Centre (YSIAC) for the Americas; former member of the Global Advisory Board of ICDR Young & International; contributor to ITAFOR; coordinating member of the Youth Committee of the Centro Empresarial de Mediación y Arbitraje (CEMA); and member of Young ICSID, Young ICCA and AYAP (Argentina Young Arbitration Practitioners).
